March 18, 2021
Congratulations to all certified nurses during this year’s Certified Nurses Week, March 15 through 19. Now is the special time to recognize SHC’s distinguished certified nurses who demonstrate their utmost dedication by earning and maintaining the highest credentials in their specialty. During this week we celebrate the over 1,900 SHC nurses who hold certification— thank you all for upholding your professional commitment, nationally validating your clinical expertise, and promoting the highest standards of nursing practice. As an organization, SHC surpasses our organizational goal of maintaining 51% of certified nurses with an astounding 64% of eligible nurses currently holding certification. This is another manifestation of Stanford Health Care nurses’ uncompromising commitment to exemplary professional practice. I commend you all on this outstanding achievement that reflects your deep commitment to lifelong learning and enhanced patient outcomes.
|Again, thank you for obtaining or maintaining national certifications. I appreciate what you do to advance our growth as a healthcare leader and continuously raise the bar together to contribute to excellent quality care embedded in current evidence-based practices, higher standards, and better patient outcomes. To all our other nurses who are candidates for certification, I invite you to learn more about the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) approved certification list here and visit SHC’s CEPD website for review classes that are available for you. Please connect with your manager or educator to further discover the many benefits of being certified and explore available opportunities.|
|Happy Certified Nurses Week!|
