Message from Dale — Chief Nursing Officer &Vice President of Patient Care Service
May 21, 2020
Dear Colleagues,
Last week, during National Hospital Week (May 10th-16th), we reflected on the tremendous achievements of Stanford Health Care, and I was once again reminded that it truly takes a village to deliver the extraordinary care that SHC provides. During this time of reflection, we recognize that all SHC nurses and interprofessionals throughout the enterprise are an essential part of this village. We each play a vital role in cohesively influencing the care of our patients and transforming our healthcare system. During this novel and challenging time of the COVID-19 pandemic, I continue to witness inspiring innovations that better serve our patients, and fellow staff; and I am proud that you all continue to be a beacon of clinical excellence during this unprecedented time. Despite several changes to our workflows and processes, you have risen to the challenge and have exhibited robust flexibility, ingenuity, and perseverance while continuing to provide exemplary and high-quality patient care. I am very grateful for each and every one of you and the meaningful work that you contribute to Stanford Healthcare. I am appreciative of the immeasurable compassion you display toward our patients, their families, and our community. Thank you all for your tireless dedication and enduring commitment to teamwork, while providing a healing sanctuary for our patients and colleagues.
It is my honor to work alongside you all; thank you for all of your excellence.
With respect and admiration,
Dale Beatty, DNP, RN, NEA-BC
Chief Nursing Office and VP of Patient Care Services
