Dear Colleagues,![]() This week we welcomed in 24 high school students from the Stanford Medical Youth Science Program (SMYSP). This program is a five-week residential enrichment program focused on introducing these young adults to a host of health-related careers. These students will be shadowing nurses and interprofessionals throughout several departments across the enterprise. Thank you for taking time to engage the hearts, hands, and minds of these young individuals and for giving back to our community in this special way. Please join me in giving them a warm welcome as we showcase our clinical and leadership excellence at all levels and in all roles throughout SHC. This week we also had an engaged interprofessional turnout at our quarterly CNO Townhall Meeting. We discussed updates, upcoming events, and current hot topics across Patient Care Services and the entire enterprise. Thank you to all that attended either in person or online via Webex. If you were not able to join, please consider joining us next time. Have a great rest of your week everyone! Thank you for reading. Sincerely, Dale Beatty, DNP, RN, NEA-BC Chief Nursing Officer / VP Patient Care Services |
