Yesterday, Wednesday, we held our monthly Interprofessional Shared Leadership Council (SLC). Our SLC structure invites and empowers nurses and interprofessionals from all levels (bedside to boardroom) and departments across the enterprise to collaborate, partner and contribute to decisions that improve our clinical practice and practice environments, aligning with the mission, vision, and values of SHC, as well as our Integrated Strategic Plan.
In addition, several Stanford nurses also attended the South Bay Chapter of the Association of California Nurse Leaders last night to see and support Brandon Bond, Administrative Director of the Office of Emergency Management here at Stanford Health Care. Brandon spoke on disaster preparedness during catastrophic events. He encouraged and educated on personal preparedness, as well as addressed how nurses and interprofessionals have been and can continue to be major players in response teams.
