Message from the CNO – In Honor of the Women and Men in Uniform

Dear Colleagues,Dale Circle

As we approach Memorial Day this coming Monday, we would like to pay homage to a very special group of nurses – military nurses.  On this day of commemoration, we recognize that the nursing profession has had a very special relationship with the military that extends back to the days of Florence Nightingale.  These men and women have served and continue to serve our country by caring for wounded soldiers and providing comfort to those that cannot be saved.

“I may be compelled to face danger, but never fear it, and while our soldiers can stand and fight, I can stand and feed and nurse them.” –Clara Bartonpioneering nurse who founded the American Red Cross

As we approach this 3-day weekend, let us take a moment to reflect and remember.  We would like to offer a very deep and heartfelt thank you to all the heroic men and women in uniform who have served, and who continue to serve, in our Armed Forces. Thank you for keeping us safe and protecting our precious liberties.  May this gratitude be ever present in our hearts and minds.

Dale Beatty, DNP, RN, NEA-BC
