Liz Borgueta BSN, RN, CWCN, SCRN, CCRN, Anita Musafar, MPH, RN, CCRN and Maureen Fay, MSN, RN, NE-BC, CNML, CCRN-K recently represented E2 ICU and Stanford Health Care during their poster presentation, “No Turning Back: Reducing Hospital-Acquired Pressure Injury (HAPI) in the Intensive Care Unit.” The poster was among the 69 posters presented at the 25th National Evidence-Based Practice Conference in Iowa. Their poster highlighted E2 ICU’s successful reduction in sacral HAPIs by eliminating routine supine patient positioning through the implementation of a synchronized turning schedule.
Liz, Anita, and Maureen recognize that their unit’s 92% sacral HAPI reduction is due to the tremendous work of their dedicated staff of E2 ICU, as well as the support of the WOCN department. Their poster created a great deal of interest among conference participants and generated ideas for positive change and better patient outcomes.
Congratulations ladies!! Amazing work!!
