I was so proud to be surrounded by so many amazing nurse leaders this week at the Association of California Nurse Leaders (ACNL) Conference in Monterey. Stanford had a strong turnout of over 20 nurse leaders from all areas of nursing practice (clinical to executive). This year, ACNL celebrated its’ 40th year of Nursing Leadership in California. Over this time, ACNL has been a tremendous advocate for the nursing profession. They have been instrumental in addressing, influencing and educating about critical issues that affect the nursing practice and delivery of patient care. ACNL was responsible for implementation of staffing ratios in California, as well as the development of the CALNOC database which helps us articulate the value of professional nursing practice. ACNL is open to all nurse leaders, regardless of role. For more info, please click here: http://www.acnl.org
